Nuppefuhofu is a mythical Japanese monster and member of the Youkai Army Corp, who returns in modern times to reek havoc, from episode 32 of the tokusatsu series "Ninja Sentai Kakuranger" (1994-1995).

Nuppefuhofu can steal people's faces simply by licking them. And has wing-like flaps on his back, that also acts like a 'Jack-O-Lantern-style' mask, which he uses to cover his face. One of the faces that Nuppefuhofu stole was Saizou's; the blue-colored member of the super-ninja team Kakuranger. Thankfully, Saizou and all the other victims' faces were restored, once Nuppefuhofu was killed by the giant robot-like God dubbed Super Kakure Daishogun.

Nuppefuhofu, along with the rest of "Kakuranger", was later adapted for the third season of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", where he was renamed Face Stealer, voiced by Scott Page-Pagter.

Somewhat similar to his Japanese original, Face Stealer was now an ancient Kahmalan face-stealing monster that was trapped in a vase. Centuries later, the vase itself appeared in a Kahmalan cultural museum exhibit in the fictional American city of Angel Grove. This proves to be a bad idea, considering all the magical space invaders that are always attacking Angel Grove, and occasionally employing Earth-based monsters in their operations.

And indeed, Face Stealer became one such reawaken advisory, stealing the faces of multiple citizens before being fought off, and ultimately destroyed by the title super heroes. And the American version of the Super Kakure Daishogun, now dubbed the Ninja Ultrazord.
