Margot cherche depuis des années des informations sur sa mère qui l'a abandonnée à sa naissance. She turns out to be related to an Amish man named Samuel , who may have information about why her mother abandoned her as a baby. With her friends Chris and Dale, they go to the middle of nowhere to make a documentary about where she comes from. Really bad idea.
