Il y a déjà mille ans que les Shadows on tenté de conquérir la galaxie, leurs plans ayant été contrecarrés par l'alliance de plusieurs races incluant les Narn, les Minbari et les Vorlons. Retournés sur leur planète Z'ha'dum, ils refont surface en 2257, menaçant à nouveau. One thousand years ago, the Shadows, arachnid-like alien species, began a conquest of the galaxy. They failed, thanks to the cooperative efforts of a variety of species including the Narn, the Minbari and the Vorlons. They retreated to their homeworld of Z'ha'dum until the year 2257 when they started to plan a new war.
